At the beginning of the academic year each class is given a planning booklet containing all the medium term subject plans, divided into terms. These medium term plans identify the learning intentions together with suggested activities for each subject (based on the QCA Schemes of Work). Teachers use these booklets to identify in which week the learning intentions will be taught (together with alternative activities/visits etc. where appropriate).
At the start of each topic teachers plan an overview with the emphasis on creativity and cross-curricular links - download a copy
Progress in literacy is planned around a chosen text - download a copy . This year we are taking part in the Power of Reading led by the CLPE.
Teachers complete weekly plans - Key Stages 1 and 2 or Reception Class.
For each session the teacher identifies:
* the learning intention (with a recommended maximum of two)
* activities (including groups and support)
* assessment opportunities
