Reception (EYFS) home Learning
Welcome to Reception's home learning page!
Miss Knight has been busy making videos to help you with your learning and they will be posted here every day by 9am.
As well as those activities, for at least 15 minutes per day you MUST:
- Practise your phonics;
- Practise your handwriting;
- Practise your numbers.
Don't forget to join in Joe Wicks' PE twice a day to keep you active.
All of these things will keep your brain in tiptop condition for when you return back to school.
If you get stuck, email Miss Knight at firstname.lastname@example.org and she will get back to you as soon as possible.
Don't forget you can choose to access the activities on Literacy Planet and Busy Things too.

Friday 8th January
As it comes to the end of the first week I want to say well done to Reception Class I know you have been trying your best and I want to say thank you to all grown ups helping at home too. Have a lovely weekend.
Understanding the World
As we've been reading the story of The Three Little Pigs why don't we find out some facts about them too?
Did anything surprise you to learn about pigs?
After watching the video draw a picture of something interesting you found out and share with someone at home.
Thursday 7th January
You can always pause the video between the phonics and story writing sections when a break is needed.
Expressive Arts and Design
The Three Little Pigs made three very different houses. If you were to design your own home what would you build it with? What would your house look like?
Your task today is to design and build your own home. You can use whatever you have around your home.
After you have built it you could test out how strong it is by trying to blow it down like the big bad wolf!
Wednesday 6th January
Today we celebrate the feast of Epiphany.
Can you come up with your own prayer? What could your gift for Jesus be this year?
Tuesday 5th January
Happy New Year!
I hope you enjoyed your Christmas Holidays.
The video has a Phonics section with activities for the children to complete. Then I introduce our new story unit - The Three Little Pigs with a writing activity.
On Busy Things I have pinned activities that link with our story of The Three Little Pigs. Remember to click on the Early Years Class.
MathsFor our Maths video lesson please click here, and then the children can complete the activities.
In our new RE topic we will be learning about Celebrations.
What celebrations can you think of? We have just had a very important celebration - Christmas!
How did you celebrate? Who did you celebrate with? What kind of things did you do? Did you play any of the party games we learnt and played last term?
It would be lovely if you could draw a picture of your Christmas celebration.
You could learn the following song and sing to the tune of Sing a song of sixpence
