RE - Being Sorry
When you call for help I will answer ‘Here I Am’, and I will help you.
You, in your turn, be ready to help one another.
Be a kind friend and never a bully.
Don’t pick fights and be ready to make friends.
Instead of making fun of someone or telling hurtful jokes about them, try to find something good to say.
Share what you have especially with people who have little or nothing.
When you act like this everyone will be happy.
You are like a light that shines in the dark; you never know who will be cheered up.
Everyone who acts in this way is working with God.
Everyone who acts in this way makes the world a better place.
Based on Isaiah 58: 9-11
God’s Story 2
There are times when we have to choose between doing the right thing or not. Sometimes we make good choices – good for others and for ourselves – and sometimes we make wrong choices which make others and ourselves unhappy.
It is sometimes hard to say sorry when you have made a wrong choice – and sometimes it can be hard to forgive someone else when their choice hurts you. Look at the picture below and, with your home teacher, try and answer some of the questions.
- Q What do you think has happened in the picture?
- Q How do you think the boy and the girl feel?
- Q How do you know?
- Q What choice has the girl made?
- Q What do you think happens next?
- Q What good choices have you made?
- Q What happens when you make a wrong choice?
- Q How do you feel, then? How can you try to make it right?
In your home learning book complete the following writing frame. Give your writing the title : CHOICES
I was happy when ............
I was sad when ................
You can use pictures to illustrate your writing.

RE - When Jesus returned to heaven he promised to send us a special gift which would help us.
Scripture: John 14:26 The Helper, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name will teach you everything and make you remember all that I have told you.
The word holiday comes from holyday. In times past the only holiday anyone had was a saint’s feast day or important feast days like Easter and Christmas. Some days of the year are ‘holy days’, when we celebrate these special times in the Church’s year.
We have just celebrated the feast of Easter when we remember Jesus rising from the dead. Look at the picture below. Can you tell someone what is happening ?
One special word we sing at Easter time to celebrate is ‘Alleluia!’
The church celebrates some days as holy days e.g. Christmas, Good Friday, Ash Wednesday and the Ascension ( when Jesus returned to heaven) etc.
- Q What happens on those days?
- Q Which of them were also holidays?
- Q How are they celebrated?
Activity - choose one of the holy days and draw/write about what happens on that day.
